Joseph Wolfschütz

Joseph Wolfschütz (born March 10, 1860 in Battelau , Moravia , † October 6, 1933 in Brno ) was a Moravian engineer and professor of river engineering , waterways and inland navigation at the German Technical University in Brno .

Life

Joseph Wolfschütz studied at the Brno German Technical University Engineering . In 1882 he was accepted into the Corps Marchia Brno . After passing his diploma, he joined the Moravian Regional Building Authority in Brno in 1884. In 1897 he was promoted to regional building officer and in 1909 to regional building officer.

Wolfschütz was involved in the regulation of many Moravian rivers. In 1908 he received his doctorate degree from the German Technical University in Brno with a dissertation on the subject of: March river regulation in Moravia . PhD.

As early as 1905 he was appointed private lecturer for river engineering, waterways and inland navigation at the Institute for Hydraulic Engineering and Irrigation II of the German Technical University in Brno. In 1908 he was appointed honorary professor for waterway construction. In 1912 he was appointed associate professor. He held the professorship until his death in 1933.

Joseph Wolfschütz was an honorary member of the Corps Marchia Brno.
