Joseph of Verona
Joseph von Verona or Joseph von Freising († 764 ) was the third bishop of Freising from 747/748 to 764 .
Life
Joseph von Verona, who came from northern Italy , was probably a monk in the cathedral monastery in Freising, founded by Boniface or Korbinian . He became Bishop of Freising in 747/748 and was the founder of the collegiate foundation in Isen . After 760 he founded the convents of Schäftlarn and Scharnitz . Joseph of Verona was buried in the church of the Isen monastery.
