Josephine Byrnes

Josephine Byrnes (born December 28, 1966 in Connecticut ) is an American - Australian actress .

Life and accomplishments

Josephine Byrnes' family moved to Australia in 1971, where Byrnes graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art in 1989 . The actress made her debut in the Australian television-produced period film The Great Air Race from 1990. She made known a major role in the 1991 miniseries Brides of Christ , for which she received the 1992 Logie Award in two categories.

In the crime comedy Ein schräger Vogel (1993), Byrnes played one of the bigger roles on the side of Phil Collins and Hugo Weaving . In the film drama Oscar and Lucinda (1997) she was seen on the side of Ralph Fiennes and Cate Blanchett . Her last role in a feature film so far (June 2008) was in Matrix Reloaded (2003).

Byrnes has been married to Peter Gilbert since 2005.
