Josh Greenfeld

Josh Greenfeld (born February 27, 1928 in Malden , Massachusetts - † May 11, 2018 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American book and screenwriter .

Life

Greenfeld became known as the author of a trilogy about the life of his son Noah (* 1966), who is an autistic person . Over the years, he mainly reported on family life and related problems.

In 1974, Greenfeld appeared as a screenwriter with his work on the Paul Mazursky- directed film Harry and Tonto . The two were nominated the following year for an Oscar in the category Best Original Screenplay and received a nomination for the Writers Guild of America Award . Greenfeld realized two more scripts.

Josh Greenfeld was married to the writer and artist Fumiko Kometani . Her first-born son Karl Taro Greenfeld (* 1964) works as a journalist and author.
