Jost Lübben

Jost Lübben (born September 23, 1964 in Bremerhaven ) is a German journalist .

Life

Jost Lübben studied history and economics at the University of Oldenburg , where he submitted his master's thesis on the history of the Nordwestdeutsche Zeitung in 1992 and received his doctorate in 1998 with a thesis on the same topic . He had already worked for the Nordsee-Zeitung since 1984 , first as a volunteer , then as an editor for the newspaper's Sunday journal. In addition to his studies, he worked in the sports and later in the local newsroom. From 1993 to 1999 he worked in the newsroom, then for five years he was deputy head of the Bremerhaven local editorial team. From June 2005 to December 2014 he was editor-in-chief of the Nordsee-Zeitung, the Zevener Zeitung and the Kreiszeitung Wesermarsch . Since the beginning of February 2015 he has headed the Westfalenpost , since May 1st 2015 also the Westfälische Rundschau , which like the Westfalenpost belongs to the Funke media group , but has not had its own editorial office since 2013.

Lübben has been a member of the jury of the German Journalist Award since 2018 .
