The Journal of Crustacean Biology is a scientific journal for crustaceology that has been published since 1981 . It is the official journal of the Crustacean Society . It has been published by Brill since 2012 and with volume 32 .
The Journal of Crustacean Biology publishes peer-reviewed articles on the biology of crustaceans and other marine arthropods . By 2009, 2052 articles had appeared, of which one fifth (20.5%) had taxonomy as their topic. Further thematic focuses were systematics (15.5%), ecology (13.5%) and anatomy (11.2%); in addition, articles on the development, behavior, life cycle and protection of crustaceans were published. In the Journal of Crustacean Biology, a total of 606 species were first described by 2009 . In addition, in her u. a. two classes , five orders, 40 families and 188 genera set up.
In addition to the printed version, the Journal of Crustacean Biology is also published as an online journal. The impact factor in 2016 was 1.064.
