Jovica Vico ( Cyrillic Јовица Вицо ; born February 27, 1978 in the SR Bosnia-Herzegovina ) is a former Bosnian-Herzegovinian football player on the position of a striker .
Career
Vico began his career at home with NK Čelik Zenica and then moved to Mexico . He returned to Europe at the age of 20. He then played for the Montenegrin club FK Čelik Nikšić . Vico left the club in 2000 to join the Slovenian record champions NK Maribor . He could not convince and moved to NK Šmartno in 1928 after a season in Slovenia . The Bosnian knew how to convince, whereupon the Austrian record champions Rapid Wien noticed the tall striker.
The Hütteldorfer signed Jovica Vico in the summer of 2001. While he did not get on the rank of supplementary player in the first two seasons, he made the breakthrough in his third season. As a "super joker", Vico scored five goals in ten games. The time in Vienna, like that in Mexico, was overshadowed by numerous injuries. In Vienna, the striker suffered, among other things, an Achilles tendon tear and several muscle fiber tears. Ultimately, his professional career was about to end. Rapid Wien did not extend the contract due to the numerous injuries. NK Šmartno 1928 signed the striker again despite his vulnerability to injury. He did not play a single time the entire season and moved back to his home country to FK Leotar Trebinje . In the first division he played only 20 times in five years, which is why he moved to FK Mladost Gacko in the 2nd Bosnian league in 2010 . There he ended his active career in the summer of 2013. Since at least the summer of 2015 he has been the sports director of FK Leotar Trebinje,
