Juan Carlos Domínguez (born April 13, 1971 in Íscar ) is a former Spanish cyclist .

Juan Carlos Domínguez began his professional career in 1995 with the Spanish cycling team Kelme-Costa Blanca . In 1997 he won the Valencia Tour , the Murcia Tour and the Setmana Catalana for himself. In 1998 he moved to Vitalicio Seguros and won the Clásica Alcobendas . In his second year with this team, he was able to defend this victory and also win the Vuelta a La Rioja and the Tour of Asturias . In 2001 Domínguez drove for the Spanish team iBanesto.com . Here he won the Asturias Tour and the Euskal Bizikleta for the second time . At the start of the Giro d'Italia 2002 in Groningen he was the fastest on the 6.5 km long prologue and wore the pink jersey for one day . In 2004 he became a member of the later ProTeama Saunier Duval-Prodir . First he won the Ruta del Sol and in 2005 the Burgos Tour .

In 2006 Domínguez drove for the Belgian Professional Continental Team Unibet.com . Before the 5th stage of the ENECO Tour 2006 he was excluded from the race because of an excessively high hematocrit value and given a protective barrier .

After the 2007 season he ended his career.
