Juan Carlos Toja Pintos , (born May 26, 1926 in Montevideo , † March 30, 2011 in Bogotá , Colombia ) was a Uruguayan football player .

Career

Juan Carlos Toja was the grandfather of professional soccer player Juan Carlos Toja Vega . He was at the beginning of his career in the ranks of the Club Atlético Progreso and was there in 1947 the most successful shooter in the Tercera División. This was followed by an engagement with Bella Vista in the Primera División . In May 1950 Toja moved to Colombia and joined Cúcuta Deportivo . There he played until 1953. Then he was still active for Independiente Medellín and Atlético Nacional . He played a total of 115 games in Colombian football and scored 62 times in the opposing goal. He died at the age of 85.
