Juan José Soto
Juan José Soto (* 1826 in Uruguay, † March 30, 1899 in Buenos Aires , Argentina ) was a Uruguayan politician .
Soto, who belonged to the Partido Blanco , was appointed Legation Secretary in 1853 by the Uruguayan President Juan Francisco Giró at the side of Ambassador Andrés Lamas in Rio de Janeiro . As a representative of the Departamento Canelones in the 11th and 12th legislative period from February 15, 1873 to March 9, 1876, he held a titular mandate as a member of the Cámara de Representantes . His son was Héctor Soto , who later became director of the Montevideo daily La Patria .
