Juan Lindolfo Cuestas
Juan Lindolfo de los Reyes Cuestas York (born January 6, 1837 in Paysandú , † June 21, 1905 in Paris , France ) was a Uruguayan politician.
Cuestas belonged to the Partido Colorado and was President of Uruguay from 1897 to 1899 and for a second term from 1899 to 1903. He was elected by both Blancos and Colorados in 1899 and played a decisive role in the reconciliation of the Los Blancos' conflicting parties in the past decades and Colorados. He granted Los Blancos a third of the seats in the National Assembly.
