Juantxo Elía Vallejo (born January 24, 1979 in Pamplona ), Elía for short , is a former Spanish football player.

Career

Originally from Pamplona, ​​Elía found professional football through Osasuna's second team, with whom he played in Segunda División B. During the 2002/2003 season he was loaned to the Galician Segunda División B Club CD Ourense as a goalkeeper .

There he was able to convince and was appointed to the first team of Osasuna after a year-long stint in Galicia. There he only made 37 league appearances in five years, as he never got past goalkeeper Ricardo López Felipe , ex- Manchester United goalkeeper .

In the summer of 2008 he signed a contract with the first division relegated Real Murcia . There was first goalkeeper in the 2008/09 season . In the following season he delivered a duel with Alberto Cifuentes for the place in goal. At the end of the season Murcia was relegated and Elía ended his career.
