Judite Dias Ximenes (born September 11, 1968 ) is a politician from East Timor . She is a member of FRETILIN .

Career

Ximenes graduated from Udayana University in Bali in 1997 . Further courses followed at the Universidade Nasionál Timór Lorosa'e (UNTL, until 2008) and in social sciences at the Universidade de Brasília (2009 to 2012). Ximenes is currently Vice Director of the Center for Gender Studies ( Centro Estudo de Género in Portuguese ) at the UNTL .

From 2001 to 2007, Ximenes was a member of the East Timor’s Constituent Assembly, which became the East Timor’s national parliament with the country’s independence . At the assembly, Ximenes was elected Vice-Secretary of the Parliamentary Bureau, but on June 25, 2002 she was replaced in this post.

Ximenes is President of Rede Feto (as of 2019), a national network of various women's organizations. Ximenes represents the Organizasaun Popular da Mulher Timor (OPMT), the women's organization of FRETILIN, at Rede Feto.
