The Udayana University ( Indonesian : Universitas Udayana , short Unud ) is a state university in Denpasar in Indonesia . It was founded in 1962 and named after the Indian philosopher Udayana; it existed since 1958 as part of the Airlangga University . 18,000 students are taught on a total of three campus areas .
organization
The management is incumbent on a Presidium , which consists of the President and four Vice-Presidents. It is divided into ten faculties:

- Faculty of Economics
- Faculty of Animal Breeding
- Faculty of Agricultural Sciences
- Faculty of Literature
- Faculty of Engineering

The BIPAS (Bali International Program on Asian Studies) program is organized at Udayana University, which was designed for exchange students in Bali. BIPAS is a multidisciplinary program with courses in economics, international relations and social sciences with an emphasis on Southeast Asia.

Nias was the original campus; this campus is characterized by the statue of Sarasvati , the goddess of knowledge , whose monument is supposed to stand for love, science and technology. It is currently the location of the Faculties for Literature and further education programs, such as the Master's and PhD , Cultural Studies.
The Sudirman campus is located in the heart of Denpasar , in close proximity to the city's main attractions and is part of the medical faculty. Sudirman has grown in the number of students and equipment and includes the GDLN , an information and communication technology facility.
The Bukit Jimbaran campus, built in 1986, is one of the relatively new and now the largest of the three Udayana campuses. It is designed like a city, as the facilities include a university clinic , sports center , post office and restaurant, as well as a university library. The campus is within easy reach of Ngurah Rai International Airport .
