IC 1516 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 330 million light years from the Milky Way and about 175,000 light years across. Together with IC 1515 , it forms the isolated galaxy pair KPG 597 .
The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on November 12, 1891 .
