IC 1519 is an elliptical galaxy of Hubble type E / S0 in the constellation Pegasus north of the celestial equator . It is estimated to be 402 million light years from the Milky Way and about 80,000 light years in diameter. Together with IC 1518 , it forms the (optical) galaxy pair KPG 599 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on December 6, 1893 .
