IC 1522 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 294 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 85,000 light years in diameter.

The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on November 5, 1891 .
