IC 1505 is an elliptical galaxy from the Hubble type E2 in the constellation Aquarius on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 296 million light years from the Milky Way and about 75,000 light years in diameter.

The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on November 12, 1891 .
