IC 1495 = IC 5327 is a bar-spiral galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type SBb in the constellation Aquarius on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 289 million light years from the Milky Way and about 120,000 light years in diameter. In the same area of ​​the sky is u. a. the galaxy IC 1494 .

The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on November 3, 1891 .
