IC 1482 is an elliptical galaxy of Hubble type E in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 402 million light years from the Milky Way and about 70,000 light years in diameter .
The galaxies NGC 7629 and NGC 7642 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered on November 5, 1891 by Stéphane Javelle .
