IC 1515 is a bar-spiral galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type SBb in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 303 million light years from the Milky Way and about 105,000 light years in diameter. Together with IC 1516 , it forms the isolated galaxy pair KPG 597 .
The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on November 12, 1891 .
