The youth detention center Königs Wusterhausen (abbreviated JAA Königs Wusterhausen ) was a youth detention center of the state of Brandenburg in Königs Wusterhausen until 2015 . Young offenders were housed here for up to four weeks of permanent arrest.

Jurisdiction

In the JAA Königs Wusterhausen juvenile offenders from all over Brandenburg served various forms of youth arrest. Leisure arrest extends over one to two weekends, short arrest for up to four days, while permanent arrest can last for up to four weeks. The flexion restraint is a measure taken by the court in the event of a violation of conditions or instructions.

Prisoner Care

The young offenders had the opportunity to take various courses (e.g. first aid, Hartz IV advice, avoidance of violence, etc.). It was also possible to work hours imposed by the court outside the JAA at various organizations.

Initially, it was planned to cease operations of the JAA Königs Wusterhausen in 2016 and to relocate the remaining young people to the JAA Berlin-Lichtenrade, which was then jointly operated by the states of Berlin and Brandenburg. However, the operation of the JAA Königs Wusterhausen was stopped at the beginning of July 2015.
