Juha Petteri Jokela (born January 7, 1970 in Tampere ) is a Finnish playwright and screenwriter. He became known nationally primarily for his play Mobile Horror and Finnish TV series.

Life

Jokela took his university entrance exam in 1989 in Tampere and then studied communication and theater studies at the University of Helsinki from 1990 to 1994 . After 1994 he continued his studies at the Helsinki Theater Academy .

From 1998, the playwright earned his living primarily as a screenwriter for Finnish television series. Occasionally he also took on directing or acting roles. From the 2000s onwards, he also wrote plays for the theater that were performed in large theaters in Helsinki or the neighboring city of Espoo . At the Heidelberg Stückemarkt in 2014, the author won the audience award with his play The Patriarch .

Jokela is married to the actress Mari Lehtonen. He lives in the Finnish capital region.
