Jules Correvon

Jules Correvon (born March 17, 1802 in Yverdon ; † March 16, 1865 ibid) was a Swiss lawyer and politician .

biography

The son of a lawyer and politician Pierre François Correvon studied among others in Lausanne and Göttingen law . From 1816 he was a member of the Société d'Étudiants de Belles-Lettres student union in Lausanne . In 1825 he became a member of the Corps Helvetia in Göttingen. He completed his studies with a doctorate in law.

From 1831 to 1846 he was a judge at the Yverdon District Court . From 1832 to 1833 he was the third envoy of the canton of Vaud to the agenda . From 1841 to 1849 he was a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Vaud. During the revolution of 1845 and the subsequent reform of the Vaud Constitution, he was a conservative.
