Jules Masselis

Jules Masselis (born November 19, 1886 in Ledegem , † July 29, 1965 in Roeselare ) was a Belgian cyclist.

Masselis was a professional from 1907 to 1921. In 1908 he won the Omloop van het Houtland race . His greatest success, however, is likely to have been his victory in the Tour of Belgium in 1910, in which he was also able to win two stages. At the Tour de France 1911 he won the 2nd stage ahead of François Faber and Gustave Garrigou . The following year he came in 3rd place in the Milan – Sanremo race behind Henri Pélissier and Garrigou.

In 1913 he won the second stage of the Tour de France again, this time ahead of Lucien Petit-Breton , Odiel Defraeye , Marcel Buysse , Henri Pélissier , Octave Lapize , Gustave Garrigou, Émile Georget and others.
