Julián Ugarte
Julián Ugarte Landa (born June 6, 1929 in Sestao , † December 27, 1987 in Bilbao ) was a Spanish actor .
Ugarte came to Madrid to study; he was interested in painting, sculpture, pottery and ballet. He received his first role as a film actor in Fernando Fernán Gómez ' El presidio in 1953 . His lanky, pale appearance predestined him for roles as a villain or light-shy guy, which he portrayed in over 30 films. In 1957 he was, for example, in Stanley Kramer's adventure film Pride and the Passion ( The Pride and the Passion ) on the side of Cary Grant , Frank Sinatra and Sophia Loren to see. However, he also worked as a painter throughout his life.
