Julia Korbik

Julia Korbik (* 1988 in Herne ) is a German journalist and publicist .

Life

Korbik studied European Studies, Communication Sciences and Journalism. In 2012 she received her German-French double diploma.

In 2014 her book Stand Up was published. Feminism for Beginners and Advanced , an introduction to feminism for young people. In 2016, Korbik founded the blog Oh, Simone about the French writer and philosopher Simone de Beauvoir . In December 2017 the book Oh, Simone! Why we should rediscover Beauvoir .

Korbik appeared regularly as a speaker at various events and as a guest lecturer on the subject of "Equality in the Creative Industries" at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg. Korbik volunteers for the six-language online magazine cafébabel : on the board of the parent association behind it, Babel International, and as vice-president of the German section, Babel Deutschland eV
