Julia Ling
Julia Ling ( Chinese : 林 小 微; Pinyin : Lín Xiǎowēi; born February 14, 1983 in Temple City , California ) is an American actress .
Life
Julia Ling was actually born with the name Shel Wei , which means something like "The little flower that blooms in the early morning hours". Already at the age of 3 she showed an above-average talent in drawing and won several awards for her sketches. She was also very well versed in language and was awarded the “Best Storyteller Award” at the age of 6. From an early age she was considered a so-called child prodigy and gave dance performances and piano recitals in the state of California at the age of 9.
During her school days, Ling showed her aptitude for dance and sports such as tennis and swimming, and achieved a grade point average of 4.0 GPA . She became chairman of several school associations such as the "German Club", the "National Honor Society", the "Amnesty Club", the "Literature Club" and the "Chinese Club". Julia Ling won the competition for “Chinese brush stroke and calligraphy” and did volunteer, community service work at the local hospital. Furthermore, at the age of sixteen she was sent as a finalist for the "Miss Teen American Pageants Contest".
After graduating from high school, she attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) to study neurosurgery. Although she was successful and was even elected Vice President of the Engineering Society, she turned around, and turned to acting and martial arts. Since she got her first role in 2003, she has appeared in more than 60 series, feature films and short films. She was best known for her role as Anna Wu in the American television series Chuck .
