Julia Weingarten

Julia Weingarten (* 1979 in Heidelberg ) is a German camerawoman .

Life

Julia Weingarten studied camera at the Bavarian Academy for Television in Munich after graduating from high school. She completed her camera studies at the Film University Babelsberg "Konrad Wolf" in 2010 with a diploma. Since 2007 she has been working as a freelance camerawoman and making documentaries, feature films, image films and advertising films.

Her documentary UXO - unexploded ordnance , for which she directed and camera, was awarded the “Documentary Film Prize” and the prize for “Best Camera” at the 2011 international student film festival Sehsuchten . With the feature film Now but Ballet she was nominated for the picture designer award of the IFFF Dortmund / Cologne .
