Julia Wenzel (born January 12, 1998 in Munich ) is a German volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Career

Wenzel attended a sports school after moving from Munich to Stuttgart. At first she was active in gymnastics before she came to volleyball through friends. She first learned at the federal base. In the 2015/16 season she was used for the first time in the second team of Allianz MTV Stuttgart , which plays in the second division south. The junior national player then had a double play right in the 2016/17 season, with which she was also used in Stuttgart's Bundesliga team. In 2017/18, the outside attacker was active again in the second division. Then she moved to the newly promoted Bundesliga NawaRo Straubing . With the club, she reached tenth place in the Bundesliga and the quarter-finals in the DVV Cup in the 2018/19 season . Then she moved to the league competitor 1. VC Wiesbaden .

In beach volleyball, Wenzel competed in youth tournaments from 2014 to 2016 with changing partners. In 2018, in addition to some smaller tournaments, she also played at the Techniker Beach Tour , where she came into the main field in Düsseldorf with Annie Cesar . In 2019 she played various category 1 tournaments.
