Julián Muñoz

Julián David Muñoz Giraldo (born August 15, 1983 ) is a former Colombian cyclist .

Julian Muñoz drove as a trainee for the Italian Professional Continental Team Ceramica Flaminia in 2006 , but did not get a professional contract there. From 2008 he drove for the Swiss team Hadimec-Nazionale Elettronica . In his second year there he was fourth overall at the Flèche du Sud . Muñoz has been driving for the Colombian Continental Team UNE-EPM since 2010 . There he was able to win a stage in the Volta Ciclística Internacional de Gravataí .

Muñoz was in the 2009 doping commercial affair involved "Via col doping". In December 2009, the CONI banned him from Italian races until December 13, 2011. On February 15, 2010, he was tested positive for sibutramine during the Tour of Cuba and was then banned for eight years because of doping.
