Julian Prochnow (born July 1, 1986 in Berlin ) is a German soccer player .

Career

Julian Prochnow, who comes from southwest Berlin, joined Wacker Lankwitz as a child and then went to Hertha Zehlendorf and finally played for Tennis Borussia Berlin . With the U19 of TeBe he was in the A-youth cup final and scored a goal.

Shortly afterwards he left Berlin and switched to SV Babelsberg 03 . In his first two years he came there for occasional assignments in the league team. Only after the team had been promoted to the Regionalliga did he begin to establish himself in the first team of the Potsdam team and soon moved up to the starting line-up in the second half of the 2007/08 season. In the next two years he was a regular in defensive midfield and was able to celebrate his second promotion with the club in 2010.

In his first season in the professional field, he had to stand behind newcomer Tom Schütz in the fight for a regular place . In his first game from the start on matchday eight, he also saw his first red card in the Babelsberg jersey. Only in the second half of the season did he consolidate his place in the team and still make 27 appearances. After the season, however, he was reluctant to renew his contract and eventually signed for another year. In 2015 he left Babelsberg.
