Julie Abich

Julie Therese Auguste Abich ( August 11, 1852 in Bad Ischl , Austria-Hungary - March 18, 1928 in Berlin , German Empire ) was an Austrian theater and film actress .

Life

Since her father was a bass player and her mother was a soubrette , she got to know the theater at an early age and entered the stage as a child. After carefully prepared by her father and Anna Suhrland , she made her debut in Riga in 1871. Stations in Dessau and Frankfurt followed. In May 1876 she was hired by the artistic director of Hülsen for the Royal Theater . She made her debut there as "Käthchen", "Cschenbrödel" and "Franziska" in Minna von Barnhelm . There she decided to specialize in salon and chaperones as well as serious mothers and stayed there for 43 years.

Notable roles were "Mathilde von Kottwitz" in Goldfische , "Käthchen", "Franziska", "Anna-Liese", "Leonie" in Damenkrieg , "Ellen" in the step from the path , "Queen" in a glass of water , "Frau Dr. Klaus ”,“ Anneliese ”in Wie die Alten sungen and“ Frau Welser ”in Die Rabensteinerin .

In 1919 and 1921 she also appeared in two silent films.

She died on March 18, 1928 of complications from pneumonia.
