Julie Reardon

Julie Reardon (born June 6, 1958 ) is a former Australian judoka who was third in the 1984 World Cup.

Athletic career

Julie Reardon won eleven Australian championship titles from 1982 to 1992 in the super light weight category, up to 48 kilograms. In 1982 she was eliminated in the second round of the World Championships in Paris against the Swede Lena Bergqvist . At the 1984 World Championships in Vienna she won the quarterfinals against the German Birgit Friedrich . After her semi-final defeat against French Marie-France Colignon , she won the battle for a bronze medal against Finnish Jaana Ronkainen . In 1986 at the World Championships in Maastricht she was defeated in the round of 16 by the Japanese Fumiko Ezakiand ultimately took seventh place.
