Julien Locke (born September 1, 1993 in Nelson ) is a Canadian cross-country skier .

Career

Locke started in Vernon in December 2010 for the first time in the Nor-Am Cup and finished 67th in the 15 km freestyle. In the 2014/15 season he achieved his first podium finishes in the Nor Am Cup with second places in the sprint in Canmore and Thunder Bay and finished ninth in the overall standings at the end of the season. In the following season he came in the top ten four times in the Nor-Am-Cup. He got his first victories in the sprint in Thunder Bay and in Cantley and finished 11th overall at the end of the season. At the U23 World Championships in 2016 in Râşnov , he achieved 16th place in the sprint. He ran his first World Cup race in February 2017 in Pyeongchang , which he finished in 36th place in the sprint. The following month he got his first World Cup points with the 20th place in the sprint at the World Cup final in Quebec , which he finished in 73rd place. In the 2017/18 season he won the sprint in Rossland and Mont Sainte-Anne . He was also second in the sprint in Gatineau and finally reached tenth place in the overall standings of the Nor-Am Cup.

In the following season, Locke won the sprint in Duntroon and also took second place once and third place twice, thus reaching third place in the overall standings.
