Julija Rawiljewna Garajewa ( Russian Юлия Равильевна Гараева ; born July 27, 1968 in Moscow , Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian sword fencer .

successes

Yulia Garajewa was part of the Russian delegation to the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta . In the individual she finished 29th after she narrowly failed in her second round to Gyöngyi Szalay-Horváth with 14:15. With the team she reached the semi-finals after victories over Japan and Germany , which were lost to France . In the battle for bronze, the Russian team, which in addition to Garajewa also consisted of Karina Asnawurjan and Marija Masina , prevailed against Hungary with 45:44 .
