Julijan Tamaš

Julijan Tamaš (born August 4, 1950 in Vrbas , Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian Slavist .

He studied South Slavic literature at the University of Novi Sad , where he received his doctorate in 1982 . Since then he has been teaching there as a full professor of Russian studies . He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Vojvodin Academy of Sciences and Arts . From 1990 to 2000 he was chairman of the Union of Russians and Ukrainians in Yugoslavia .
