Julius Braunhofer

Julius Braunhofer (born May 29, 1829 in Mannheim , Baden , † October 15, 1867 in Berlin , Kingdom of Prussia ) was a stage actor .

Life

Julius Braunhofer, son of the Austrian theater actor Carl Braunhofer , first appeared on small stages in order to educate himself and found his first major engagement as a young lover at the court theater in Karlsruhe. He made himself very popular here, the artistic conditions alone were not favorable for him, and so he went to Kassel as early as 1852. Here he became the public's favorite. He worked as such for ten years until he received a call to the Königl in 1862. Hoftheater in Berlin followed. It worked here with great distinction and its usability and usefulness were unanimously recognized. He was counted among the first in his field, especially in humorous roles in which he did very well. After five years of service, which gave rise to high hopes, he died on October 15, 1867.
