Julius Friedrich August Harding

Julius Friedrich August Harding (born January 1, 1759 in Lauenburg / Elbe , † August 27, 1823 in Clausthal ) was a German Lutheran theologian and general superintendent of the General Diocese of Grubenhagen and the Harz region .

Life

Harding was a son of Pastor Carl Ludwig Harding (1716–1793). He studied theology at the University of Göttingen from 1777 to 1780 and became pastor in Haimar in 1784 , in Bissendorf in 1789 , pastor and superintendent in Zellerfeld in 1804 and pastor of the first parish office in Clausthal and general superintendent of the general diocese of Grubenhagen and in the Harz region. The astronomer Karl Ludwig Harding was a younger brother.
