Julius Goldfeld

Julius Goldfeld (born March 24, 1860 in Hamburg ; † June 14, 1937 there ) was a German lawyer and politician.

Life and work

After studying law and obtaining a doctorate in law from the University of Berlin , Goldfeld, who was of Jewish faith, settled as a lawyer in his hometown of Hamburg in 1884 . He ran with Dr. G. Lang is a civil law firm in the Jungfrauenthal in Harvestehude . Since he had already been admitted to the bar before 1914, Goldfeld was able to continue practicing his profession even after the National Socialists came to power. He did not live to see the complete ban on Jewish lawyers as of November 30, 1938.

Political party

In 1919 Goldfeld, who despite political activity had not belonged to any party during the German Empire, helped found the German People's Party .

MP

From 1910 to 1919 Goldfeld belonged to the Hamburg citizenship . He had been elected in the landowner elections and joined the parliamentary group on the left .
