Julius Joseph Willem Peeters

Julius Joseph Willem Peeters MHM (born February 22, 1913 in Venlo ; † September 23, 2002 ) was bishop of the Buéa diocese in Cameroon .

Life

Julius Joseph Willem Peeters joined the Order of the Mission Society of St. Joseph of Mill Hill and was ordained a priest on July 9, 1938 . Pope John XXIII appointed him on June 4, 1962 bishop of the diocese of Buéa.

The former Bishop of Buéa, Peter Rogan MHM, donated him episcopal ordination on August 24 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Jean Zoa , Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Yaoundé , and Charles Heerey CSSp , Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Onitsha .

He attended all the sessions of the Second Vatican Council . He resigned from this office on January 29, 1973.
