Julius Laiconas

Julius Laiconas (born February 29, 1944 in Lujėnai I , Rajongemeinde Biržai ) is a Lithuanian and Soviet-Lithuanian politician and civil engineer .

Life

From 1950 to 1954 Julius Laiconas studied in the primary school Bėčiūnai near Biržai and from 1955 to 1961 at the middle school Nemunėlis in Radviliškis . In 1969 he graduated from the building faculty of the KPI and in 1986 from the Moscow People's Academy of Economics . From 1966 to 1970 he worked in Bautrest Kaunas , from 1970 to 1978 in sowjetlitauischen Ministry of Building Materials , 1978-1984 Head of Technical Directorate and Deputy Minister of Building Materials Industry, 1990-1994 Deputy Minister of Construction , 1994-1996 Minister of Construction and Urban Planning in Šleževičius cabinet . From 1997 to 2001 he was department director, banko deputy chairman, deputy bank administration manager of AB Turto bankas. From 2001 to 2006 he was vice minister for the environment, from 2006 director of the UAB “Granitinė skalda”, from 2008 president of the association “Milsa ir ko”.
