Julius Monien
Julius Monien (born December 13, 1842 in Königsberg ; † January 1897 there ) was a German landscape painter.
Julius Monien studied painting with Ludwig Rosenfelder and August Behrendsen at the Königsberg Art Academy . After graduation, he stayed in his hometown and mainly painted forest and lake landscapes. He also engaged in portrait painting at times.
After the Second World War , many of the artist's works ended up in Russian and Polish art collections.
