Julius Neuberger

Julius Neuberger (born May 17, 1872 in Arnstein , † September 9, 1922 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a German doctor and member of parliament ( SPD ).

Life

Neuberger came from a Jewish family. His father was the Arnstein merchant Samuel Neuberger, his mother was Sofie née Gattmann (born May 8, 1848 in Arnstein, † 1901/02 in Frankfurt am Main). He married Rosa Henriette Bernhardine Bär called Rosy.

Neuberger attended grammar school in Frankfurt am Main and passed the Abitur there. During his medical studies he specialized in ear, nose and throat medicine and completed his studies with a doctorate to become a Dr. med. from. He then worked for two years as an assistant doctor at the surgical clinic in Bologna and three years in Berlin. In 1900 he returned to Frankfurt am Main and established himself as an ear, nose and throat doctor. For many years he worked as a surgeon at the polyclinic.

politics

Neuberger was a member of the SPD. From March 1919 to September 9, 1922 he was a city councilor in Frankfurt am Main, where he was a member of the Foundation's Deputation. In 1920 he became a member of the Nassau Municipal Parliament and the Provincial Parliament of the Prussian Province of Hesse-Nassau for the urban district of Frankfurt am Main. He did not run again in the 1921 local elections.
