Julius Pagojus
Julius Pagojus (born December 13, 1987 in Klaipėda ) is a Lithuanian lawyer and politician , from 2014 to 2016 Deputy Minister of Justice of Lithuania . Pagojus was the youngest deputy minister in Lithuania at the time.
Life
After graduating from Vytautas High School in Klaipėda , Julius Pagojus completed his master’s degree in law in 2011 and a bachelor’s degree in economics at Vilniaus universitetas in 2012 . From April 2008 he was a member of the control commission of the Lithuanian youth organization LiJOT. From May 2009 to May 2011 he was a board member of Lietuvos jaunimo organizacijų taryba (LiJOT). He was head of the delegation of the Lithuanian Young Social Democrats to the LiJOT Assamblee.
From November 22, 2011 to December 21, 2012 he was a legal assistant in the LAWIN law firm . From December 22, 2012 to July 2014, he was advisor to the Lithuanian Minister of Justice Juozas Bernatonis at the Ministry of Justice of Lithuania . From July 2014 to 2016, Pagojus was Deputy Minister of Justice Juozas Bernatonis in the Butkevičius cabinet . He was the successor to Saulius Stripeika . In 2016, Pagojus was appointed Lithuanian Minister of Justice by Dalia Grybauskaitė , but was exonerated a few days later because of an earlier scandal. He therefore did not exercise the ministerial office.
Pagojus is a member of Lietuvos socialdemokratų partija and Lietuvos socialdemokratinio jaunimo sąjunga .
