Julius Steinmetz

Julius Friedrich Christian Steinmetz (born November 9, 1808 in Arolsen , † November 1, 1874 in Korbach ) was a German pastor and politician .

Steinmetz was the son of pastor Johann Philipp Steinmetz and his wife Karoline Schumacher nee Krüger. His first marriage was Luise Pentzel. On December 2, 1862, he married Katharina Friederike Christiane Kahlhöfer in Arolsen. Steinmetz was a teacher in Arolsen. From 1836 to 1942 he was pastor in Münden, from 1842 to 1860 in Usseln and from 1860 to 1874 pastor in Helmighausen.

After the March Revolution he was a member of the Landtag of the Principality of Waldeck-Pyrmont from 1848 to 1849 . He was elected in the 1st rural constituency.
