Julius Zimmermann (painter)
Julius Zimmermann (born May 11, 1824 in Augsburg , † April 7, 1906 in Munich ) was a German portrait and history painter .
life and work
Born as the son of the professor of the Royal Academy of Arts in Munich , Clemens von Zimmermann , he studied painting from December 2, 1844 at the Munich Academy.
Julius Zimmermann created a series of portraits of historical figures that are in the Bavarian State Painting Collections.
Zimmermann gave Elisabeth Reuter painting lessons in the 1870s .
