Julius von Haast Fellowship Award

The Julius von Haast Fellowship Award is a New Zealand research award .

The Royal Society of New Zealand has been awarding this prize annually to internationally renowned German scientists since 2004 . It serves to recognize outstanding achievements and to deepen cooperation with New Zealand scientists. The award is endowed (as of 2017) with NZ $ 150,000 for research work in New Zealand and is supported by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation .

It was named after the German geologist Julius von Haast .
