The Juliusplate is a locality and a peninsula in the municipality of Berne . It is located on the Lower Weser (river kilometers 25 to 26.5) and is a former river island that was opposite Farge and became part of the left bank through the Weser correction . Here is the western pier of the Farge – Berne ferry connection , on which the “Juliusplate” ferry, built in 1995, also operates. The northern bank of the Juliusplate belongs to the state of Bremen .
The nature reserve of the same name takes up most of the area.
There is a hotel and a campsite in the area directly at the ferry terminal. In addition, the Plate has a beacon for shipping on the Weser. Next to the Warflether Arm of the Weser is a natural harbor operated by the Juliusplate water sports club . There is also a beach here, supervised by a DLRG station in midsummer. Another beach is located east of the campsite.
