Bardenfleth is a district of Berne in the Wesermarsch district in Lower Saxony . The district is located 5 km east of the core town of Berne directly on the Weser . To the north - on the opposite bank of the Weser - is the Bremen district of Blumenthal .

From the 19th century many shipyards were built in Bardenfleth . There is also a branch of Fr. Lürssen Werft GmbH & Co. KG , a German shipyard with its headquarters in the Bremen district of Vegesack . In 2002 Lürssen took over the Schweers shipyard in Bardenfleth, which was run as Lürssen-Bardenfleth . The shipyard has been owned by the Fassmer company since 2012 .
